If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, and you’re just aching for some real music with real people in a warm, happy atmosphere, guess what.
It’s time for the Feral Folk Festival.
Any musician worth their salt in Berlin – and a bunch outside of it – will know the name of the Famous Gold Watch recording studios. Head honcho (and producer, engineer and extemely accomplished musician himself) has been running this recording studio complex out of a cellar in Creative City in Weissensee for probably around 10 years by now.

In this time he’s redefined Berlin’s musical landscape – together with his trusty team of music pros – from the bottom up. Without even saying anything about the stunning aesthetics of the place – made to look like an extra-stylish speakeasy and possibly the coolest places you’re going to hang out in this year or next (woops, I mentioned it after all) – he’s also set the studio(s) up with absolute top of the line equipment: and all while keeping the prices low enough for your average indie artist to still be able to afford it.
Here’s the link for info and tickets.
Long story short, it’s the Famous Gold Watch team that have come up with and enacted the Feral Folk Festival, as a way of showcasing the best of the indie/folk/handmade music – and musicians – that Berlin has to offer.
Which is why you really, really shouldn’t miss the Feral Folk Festiavl 2025.
I’m told there a few tickets still going, and it’s a mere 15€ for an entire day of umpteen music acts, all of which are guaranteed to reshape your thinking if not blow your mind. And with a range of styles on show, there’s something for everyone (unless you’re hardcore into techno, in which case I really can’t help you).
The line up runs a little like this, more or less:
James Michael Rodgers, Kiki Annette, Daisy Blind Man, Elsdeer, Rufus Coates & Jess Smith, Roxy Rawson, Kilkelly, Robert John Hope, Marla Moya.
