Known for smash hits like "Bamboleo," "Volare," and "Djobi Djoba," the beloved flamenco-pop sensation Gipsy Kings takes the stage once again in Berlin at ASTRA Kulturhaus.
May 15 marks the opening night of Gipsy Kings's new Historia Tour 2026. It is their first-ever exclusive club and arena tour in Germany. The German leg alone spans eleven cities between May 15 and 29, covering highlights such as Hamburg, Dortmund, Munich, and several stops in between, before the tour continues into Switzerland.
Born out of two Romani families in the sun-drenched south of France, the Reyes and Baliardo brothers joined forces to form the Gipsy Kings way back in 1979.
After multiple smash hits that dominated the charts for weeks, spanning thirteen main studio albums, popular covers of classic songs like "Hotel California," and a Grammy for Best World Music Album, the band is ready to take the stage with their brand new album, Historia. The Berlin show features the Tonino Baliardo-led lineup; the band's founding core. Which is notable, as Gipsy Kings have toured under a number of configurations in recent years, with various members heading their own groups.
Historia is set for a May 15 release, meaning Berlin gets to hear the new songs live on release night! With this new album, founding guitarist Tonino Baliardo says they're ready to give the band's long history a retrospective, hence the album title, Historia. The record reflects everything that has shaped Baliardo as a musician, with influences from rumba, pop, jazz, and dance, and everything he's gathered across decades of performing.
In addition to brand new music from the legendary band, the night's audience will surely be immersed in the high-energy performance that Gipsy Kings are known for!
