Labasheeda, the Amsterdam-based band, emerges as a distinct voice within the realms of art rock, noise, and post-punk.
Their sound contains power and delicate emotion, which goes beyond the cookie-cutter of plenty of present-day music. Their latest album “blueprints”, released in November 2023, is a collection of tracks that are both raw and rebelliously spirited.
With a dynamic mix that infuses punk's rapid-fire pace with the soulful depths of blues, underpinned by solid drum beats and enveloped in layers of noisy guitars, Labasheeda delivers a sound that is unapologetically rock.

In the album, the band's distinctive sound palette is enriched with the inclusion of marimba, cello, and double bass. Those forces that don't pander to the times, rough and tumble valour, are on full display in the group.
Every track on the album has a unique character and distinct taste. "Fossil", the opening song, exemplifies this with its harmonious blend of guitars, violin, and bass. The interplay of electric guitar riffs varies from gentle to pressing, setting the pace of the piece. Concluding with an ensemble of string instruments, it offers listeners an instant taste into the essence of art rock.

The fusion of violin with the strong beat of rock in the song "Procedure" add a different character to the album. Vocals vibrate between melodic singing and impassioned shouting, resembling a deeply personal inner monologue.

As the last song in the album, 'What Remains is Love' marks an end and a fresh beginning. The soft strumming of the guitar and gentle drum beat takes you back to a small underground bar in the 90s. The combination of art rock and blues gives you a glimpse of another side of the band.
