Grauzone, one of Europe’s most acclaimed gatherings focusing on the connection between film, music, and art, returns for 3 days to Den Haag from February 6th to February 8th! As usual, paying special attention to young/emerging talents as well as more established voices in the scene.
Let’s set the stage: Den Haag, NL, blue banners reading “Grauzone Festival” scattered around the city center, hanging from the facades of well-known music venues, cafes, and more; the main venue being Paard.
“Graustad,” Grauzone’s FREE city program, kicks off on February 5th with performances from Nürnberg (BY), Avishag C. Rodrigues (US), and Nuxx (US). There are also a few Graustad events on Saturday, so keep an eye out! The official festival opening is on Friday February 6th, 15:30 at The Grey Space in the Middle.
From Graurobics, a festival warm-up class with dancer & performer Angel Spiders set to italo disco, to progressive performances (Graukunst) exploring the connection between human and machine, such as Hreyfð by Sól Ey, to film screenings like Electronic Body Movie (the first documentary ever to dive deep into the history and rediscovery of E.B.M.), to live performances from acclaimed post-punk bands such as Twin Tribes (US) and local bands like the noise-rock act Grote Geelstaart (NL)—the festival offers something for almost everyone!
Since 2021 food offerings from Grauzone are completely vegan, aiding in their Greenzone approach to sustainability. This year’s food partners are Karma Kabab, a locally sourced company specializing in celeriac-based kebab, and Abun Catering—a new partner and family-run business with Surinamese roots.
We’re looking particularly forward to performances from Stella Rose (US), emerging from New York’s underground scene, the New Zealand-born Berlin-based band Dead Finks (DE), and Washington DC’s Des Demonas.
Maybe we’ll see some of you there! Can’t make it or missed your chance at tickets? Then look to our Instagram for snapshots into our festival experience, follow Grauzone on instagram (or whatever socials you like), and come back for our “Grauzone 2026” highlights article after the festival!
